Prime Minister announces financial support measure
During his address on National Day, the Mauritian Prime Minister announced a significant financial support measure. Starting in early April, every older adult will receive a retirement pension of 13,500 rupees, approximately 290 USD.
Prime Minister also announced the promotion of 1,785 police officers based on their seniority and years of service. This initiative aims to bolster police personnel. Pravind Jugnauth expressed confidence in the country’s positive direction, highlighting progress observed on every island of the Republic.
Emphasizing stability and peace as his main priorities, the Prime Minister also mentioned positive developments in Agalega through cooperation with India and Rodrigues. He encouraged young Mauritians to pursue modern educational paths.
