TotalEnergies electrification project

Launch of 100% electric service stations by 2026

TotalEnergies announces the launch of a pioneering electrification project, aiming to establish 100% electric service stations by 2026. Isabelle Patrier, Director of TotalEnergies France, unveils plans to inaugurate these innovative stations on Reunion Island.

This initiative is a vital component of TotalEnergies’ comprehensive energy transition program and marks the initial phase of electrifying 42 TotalEnergies service stations across the island. Recognizing the burgeoning interest in electric mobility in Reunion Island, the company is swiftly adapting to meet this demand. Presently, 19 stations are already equipped with electric networks, including five stations featuring high-power terminals for rapid vehicle recharging. Isabelle Patrier emphasizes, « We are executing our energy transition strategy, prioritizing stations with high recharging capabilities ».

As part of its commitment to sustainability, the French company annually invests 5 billion EUR in energy transition projects. Notably, this investment supports the development of a new wind farm in Sainte-Suzanne. Collectively, TotalEnergies generates over 40 megawatt-hours of clean electricity on La Réunion, with plans to increase production to 60 megawatt-hours by 2025.
