Radically transforming public administration
The Project to Operationalize the External Financing Platform has been officially inaugurated by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. This tool aims to modernize the administration of public financing through digitization and to radically transform public administration.
With a budget of USD 1.3 million provided by the African Development Bank (AfDB), this platform aims to stimulate collective engagement during the project implementation phase. This project will take about twelve months, until December 31, 2025. The Public Debt Directorate, under the authority of the General Directorate of the Treasury, oversees this platform.
At the inaugural event, Minister of Economy and Finance Rindra Hasimbelo Rabarininarison stated, « This platform is part of the Strategic Plan for the Modernization of Public Finance Management (PSMFP). This solution will facilitate the digitization and centralization of the execution of projects financed by external funds while ensuring interoperability with existing systems ».
Furthermore, Andry Nirina Rajaofetra, General Director of the Treasury, mentioned that « The project also includes the development of a platform for managing internal financing, to establish a unique system for public debt management ». With its multidimensional scope, this platform serves as a robust mechanism for strict and real-time tracking and coordination.
