Tunisair : Halima Ibrahim Khouaja Appointed as CEO

On November 4, 2024, the Tunisair Board of Directors appointed Halima Ibrahim Khouaja as the new CEO of the Tunisian national airline.

She assumes her role alongside Habib Mekki, Chairman of the Board, to strengthen the management structure of Tunisair and lead the company through a period marked by significant challenges in the aviation sector.

Tunisair is a Tunisian airline with an average passenger rating of 6.8/10, reflecting a service quality comparable to industry standards. This rating has remained consistent over the past 12 months.

As of the end of September 2024, Tunisair’s revenue saw a modest 0.5 % growth, reaching 380 million USD compared to the same period last year. Passenger numbers increased by 3 %, totaling 1.981 million over the first nine months of 2024, up from 1.932 million in the previous year.

With her extensive experience, Ibrahim Khouaja is tasked with maintaining the airline’s positive momentum and expanding its market share in an increasingly competitive environment.
