Congo: Mbou Likibi Gaspard Symphorien new President of the SPI

At the Council of Ministers meeting on 12 February 2025, Mbou Likibi Gaspard Symphorien was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Société de Promotion Immobilière. As an economist and CAMES assistant master in economics, his career reflects proven expertise in statistics and economic regulation.

A former Director General of Congo’s National Institute of Statistics (INS), his work plays a role in conducting strategic studies on the national economy. The new President also worked with the Agency for the Regulation of Posts and Electronic Communications (ARPCE). In addition, he headed the Center d’Aide à la Statistique et à la Prospective (CASP). This has enabled it to contribute to the training of statisticians and the production of critical data in the health, education and agricultural sectors.

Recognized as an expert on economic cycles in the CEMAC region, his research has led to a better understanding of regional economic dynamics. With this appointment, the Société de Promotion Immobilière is building on its leadership and experience to strengthen its development strategies.
