Starting January 1, 2025, Mama Sougoufara will take over as CEO of Industries Chimiques du Sénégal (ICS). He succeeds the « irremovable » Alassane Diallo, who has held the position since 2005.
This Senegalese leader is recognized as one of the brightest minds in the country. He left his role as Managing Director of Alstom MENAT to dedicate himself to serving his continent. He has overseen the execution of flagship projects such as the Doha tramway, the Dubai metro, and the new metro in Saudi Arabia.
Previously, he served as Vice President and Managing Director of Alstom for North Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey. He also contributed to the development of the high-speed train (TGV) in Morocco and played a key role in the implementation of the Regional Express Train (TER) in Senegal.
