Moez Ben Omar takes over as head of the National Office of Oil (ONH) in Tunisia. His appointment is made official by a decree of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Maritime Fisheries, published in the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic (JORT). The new head succeeds Hamed Daly Hassen, who will take up other functions from March 6, 2025.
Former Commercial Director of ONH, Omar has solid experience in the olive sector. His career as general administrator allowed him to develop skills in management and strategy.
Now at the head of the institution, he will have to boost the sector and strengthen its competitiveness. The export of olive oil, the country’s flagship product, is among his priorities. The CEO will also have to support the sector in the face of current economic and climatic challenges.
