Mitwa NG’ambi appointed CEO of MTN Côte d’Ivoire

On March 1, 2025, Mitwa NG’ambi officially took office as CEO of MTN Côte d’Ivoire. Welcomed at the company’s headquarters in Abidjan, she succeeds Djibril Ouattara, who led the company for five years.

Announced in December 2024, this appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Ivorian subsidiary of the South African group. With more than 17 years of experience in the telecommunications sector, including eight as CEO, Mitwa NG’ambi previously led MTN subsidiaries in Rwanda and Cameroon, where she was able to drive growth dynamics.

In her speech, she expressed her commitment to meeting the challenges that arise, with a focus on innovation and improving the company’s performance. “*I am delighted to have finally arrived in Abidjan. I have full confidence in our ability to accelerate and dominate*,” said the new CEO, emphasizing the need for a cohesive team to achieve ambitious goals.

With a solid background in strategy, marketing and technology, NG’ambi is on a mission to consolidate MTN Côte d’Ivoire’s position in the market.
