Jean-Baptiste Desprez, aged 53, holds a degree from the French Institute of Management and advanced leadership training from Groupama. He will become the new Chief Executive Officer of Groupama Indian Ocean and will take office on January 1, 2025. His professional journey began at Groupama Nord-Est, where he worked as a specialized sales advisor. In 2000, he joined Groupama-Gan as a sales director before being promoted to Gan Overseas Delegate for French Polynesia in 2004.

In 2012, he was appointed Deputy CEO of Gan Overseas (Pacific region), and in 2015, he was promoted to CEO of Groupama Pacific and Gan Overseas. In 2021, Jean-Baptiste Desprez became CEO of Groupama’s assistance subsidiary, Mutuaide.
