The Office of the President is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Varsha Singh as the new Commissioner General of the Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC). Effective from April 1, 2024, Mrs. Singh, a distinguished South African national, brings over 28 years of extensive experience in taxation, customs, and international trade facilitation relations to her new role.
Mrs. Singh’s impressive credentials include a Master’s Degree in Law and International Customs Administration from the University of Canberra, Australia, as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Management School of Southern Africa, South Africa. Throughout her career, she has held numerous strategic management positions with esteemed organizations such as the South African Revenue Service (SARS), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF).
With her wealth of expertise and esteemed background, Mrs. Varsha Singh is poised to lead the Seychelles Revenue Commission towards greater efficiency, innovation, and effectiveness in revenue collection and tax administration. Her appointment underscores the government’s commitment to fostering excellence and professionalism within the SRC, ultimately contributing to the country’s socio-economic development.
