Sarah Romain Assumes Role of CEO at Seypec

The Office of the President has officially announced the appointment of Sarah Romain as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Seychelles Petroleum Company Limited (Seypec), effective February 1, 2023.
Ms. Romain brings with her 27 years of rich experience from both the public and private sectors. She embarked on her journey with Seypec in 2010, initially joining as the Assistant Commercial Director. Over the years, she has ascended through various senior roles within the company, culminating in her recent tenure as the Interim General Manager.
The decision to appoint Ms. Romain was made on the recommendation of Seypec’s Board of Directors, following a comprehensive evaluation process. The selection involved a series of rigorous internal interviews conducted with all candidates who expressed interest in the position.
Seypec, a cornerstone of Seychelles’ energy infrastructure, plays a pivotal role in the supply of fuel to the domestic market, as well as in the refueling operations for ships and aircraft, alongside the management of its marine division.
Ms. Romain’s appointment underscores Seypec’s commitment to fostering strong leadership and operational excellence as it continues to fulfill its vital role in Seychelles’ energy landscape. Her extensive experience and proven track record position her well to lead Seypec into its next phase of growth and development.
