Providing solutions to users

The Malagasy Customs Directorate General (DGD), in line with the future vision of the World Customs Organization (WCO), continues to innovate and transform.

The aim is to offer solutions to users. Therefore, a discussion meeting on projects under the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA) was held. Constantly striving for excellence, the DGD showcased facilitation tools and demonstrated the online E-Tariff platform.

This program includes an application called « Customs Declaration MDG » as well as the Customs Passage Guide. The electronic tariff allows the public to immediately access the customs tariff, including the details of taxes and customs duties related to the import or export of an item. With internet access, users can obtain essential information from the platform, avoiding unpleasant surprises regarding payable taxes or procedures to follow.

Similarly, the Customs Passage Guide by Ernest Lainkana Zafivanona is also important. He concludes that this brochure has been deposited and distributed in shopping centers and gas stations to ensure the general public can obtain essential information that will facilitate border crossings.
