Making it easier for vacationers to travel
In August, Madagascar Airlines announces three direct flights between Toliara and Tolagnaro. The aim is to meet the growing needs of vacationers.
Madagascar Airlines will operate flights between Toliara and Tolagnaro. Although this resumption is not extended throughout the year, three flights are scheduled for August: on the 15th, 23rd, and 25th. These routes will connect the Atsimo-Andrefana region and the Anôsy region.
The national airline’s booking simulator offers a price of 179 EUR for a ticket from Tolagnaro to Toliara on August 15. For upcoming flights, the price is reduced to 134 EUR if you depart on August 25, provided bookings are made in the next few days. Prices can fluctuate significantly depending on the number of passengers and the departure days. These « rescue flights » provide support to vacationers, travelers, and tourists at least for this August.
The transportation system in the South, in general, needs to be reorganized. Vacationers and tourists are attracted to this vast territory, but they become demotivated due to the state of the roads and the available means of transportation. Additionally, many people are waiting for the resumption of Toliara-Morondava connections. The nearly 400 km distance is made difficult by the blocked road between Manja and Morondava, as well as Morondava-Maintirano-Mahajanga.
