Promoting these two complementary sectors
Viviane Dewa, the Minister of Tourism and Crafts (MTA), met with local artisans at the Maison de la Chambre des Métiers et de l’Artisanat during the tenth edition of the International Regions Day (JIR).
An opportunity to discuss the promotion of these two complementary sectors. It was also an occasion to disseminate the actions already implemented by the ministry and its various divisions.
In her speech, Minister Viviane Dewa emphasized that “each region will benefit from capacity building to better welcome tourists, to reach one million visitors by 2028“. Additionally, the MTA indicated that the ambition for this year is to host more than 10,000 visitors compared to 9,675 in 2023.
In addition to this meeting, the Minister also visited the office of the Regional Directorate of Tourism and Crafts. During this meeting, she engaged in dialogue with staff members. This confirmed the strategic perspective focused on these two sectors and emphasized the importance of the contribution of each sector in achieving the established goals.
