Seychelles – Tanzania : Partnership in support of tourism

Developing tourist cruises following the Seychellois model

Dr. Hassan Abbasi from the Tanzanian Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism discusses tourism development strategies with Alain St.Ange from Seychelles, exploring unique collaboration opportunities.

Dr. Hassan Abbasi, Permanent Secretary of the Tanzanian Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, warmly received Alain St.Ange, former Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports, and Marine of Seychelles, at the offices in Dar es Salaam.

Accompanying Mr. St. Ange at the meeting was Ms. Maryvonne Pool, Honorary Consul of Seychelles. Discussions centered on Tanzania’s distinctive assets and potential consultancy opportunities that Tanzania could explore through the « Saint Ange Tourism Consultancy ». Additionally, they deliberated on a proposed working visit by Mr. St. Ange in the forthcoming weeks to chart the way forward.

« Tanzania possesses all the necessary attributes to foster a thriving tourism industry », remarked Dr. Hassan Abbasi, underscoring his country’s resolve to emerge as a beacon of success in the tourism realm. He extended gratitude to Mr. St. Ange for his time and commitment.

Alain St.Ange is currently in Dar es Salaam during a port stopover aboard a luxury liner, where he delivers lectures. Serving as the head of a tourism consultancy firm and former Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports, and Marine of Seychelles, he embarks on a series of coastal cruises across Africa. Presently, the liner is navigating the coasts of southern and eastern Africa.
