Promoting Madagascar as a top destination
Tourism and aviation officials in Madagascar have finalized key agreements with Air France to boost tourism.
These agreements were signed in Paris during the Top Resa travel fair, highlighting a strategic vision for 2025, as detailed in the partnership between the National Tourism Office of Madagascar and Air France. The aim is to strengthen Air France’s commitment to promoting Madagascar as a key destination in the European market. Both parties have committed to a joint communication strategy to position the island as a must-visit destination.
On Thursday, Madagascar Airlines and Air France also sealed a commercial agreement. The new collaboration aims to streamline travel procedures for customers. Set to take effect at the beginning of October, this agreement will allow travelers to book flights from both airlines on a single ticket, making it easier to manage travel logistics, including baggage handling.
For instance, customers flying from Paris with Air France and wishing to explore Madagascar’s main domestic destinations with Madagascar Airlines will now be able to check their baggage through to their final destination. This eliminates the need to stop in Antananarivo (Tana) to retrieve and recheck luggage, thus enhancing the overall travel experience.
