Local tourism in the spotlight at Tsenaben’ny Fizahantany 2025

A unique opportunity to rediscover Madagascar

The 9th edition of the Tsenaben’ny Fizahantany (TBF) trade fair will be held from April 10 to 12, 2025, at the Antaninarenina Garden.

Organized by the Madagascar National Tourism Office (ONTM) and the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts (MTA), this event aims to encourage Malagasy people to discover their own country.

Twenty-eight exhibitors will participate in the fair, including tour operators, hotels, and Madagascar Airlines. Visitors will be able to take advantage of special offers, with discounts of up to 20%, extended stays at reduced prices, and organized tours for the Easter holidays. “The goal is to make local tourism more accessible,” announces one organizer.

Admission to the fair is free, allowing everyone to meet industry professionals. In addition to great deals, the fair will feature entertainment, games, and interactive quizzes. An online quiz will allow participants to test their knowledge of Malagasy tourist destinations. Conferences and roundtable discussions will also be held to discuss the future of the sector.

Since its inception in 2020, the TBF fair has played an important role in promoting domestic tourism. The number of Malagasy visitors to national parks has increased significantly, from 27,289 in 2021 to 70,715 in 2024. This 2025 edition will boost this trend and introduce even more of Madagascar’s treasures to Malagasy people.
