Four destinations from Tana are covered by the Emirates

Important turning point in the development of tourism in Madagascar

The airline Emirates will begin operating in Malagasy skies next week with four flights per week.

The arrival of Emirates in Madagascar marks a significant milestone in the development of tourism in the country. The airline will offer connections to four major international destinations from Antananarivo, the capital: London (United Kingdom), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Malé (Maldives), and Karachi (Pakistan). These new alliances present promising opportunities for Madagascar’s tourism sector. Operations will commence on September 3.

The goal of this initiative is to make Madagascar more accessible to international tourists, contributing to the government’s objective of reaching one million visitors by 2030. The alliance with Emirates represents a major step toward realizing this ambition. Emirates offers competitive fares compared to other airlines with the same destinations from Madagascar.

The flights will be operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, offering optimal comfort with eight First Class suites, forty-two Business Class seats, and three hundred ten Economy Class seats. This new service complements that of Air Mauritius, which also offers flights to Dubai aboard the Airbus A350. Previously, Malagasy passengers wishing to travel to international hubs had to transit through Nairobi or Addis Ababa, requiring layovers and flight changes. Emirates now offers direct flights, greatly facilitating travel.
