Simplifying citizens’ saily procedures
The Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) has announced new tools aimed at helping Seychelles adapt to the digital age, making various government services accessible online.
DICT hosted the « What’s New » event at the Eden Bleu Hotel, showcasing new applications and portals that will allow individuals to access government services more easily. « We noticed a lack of innovation in the country and wanted to improve efficiency », said Kevin Marie, Senior Analyst at DICT. « We have established collaborations with various government sectors and analyzed how we can innovate to help their services reach the public more effectively ».
The new apps and websites include a catalog of all online services offered by the government. For example, businesses can now renew their commercial licenses or register vehicles through this platform.
Other developments include additional features integrated into the SeyID app, allowing users to request variousgovernment certificates, such as birth or marriage documents, and an online service for renewing driving licenses. While some of these services are already available, users can stay updated by visiting the DICT website or following the department’s Facebook page.
