Comores Telecom prepares the future of connectivity

The government supports Comores Telecom in its digitalization strategy

On February 26, at the Le Retaj hotel, Ali Hadji, the company’s CEO, presented his annual report, in the presence of the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Oumouri Mmadi Hassane.

The latter emphasizes the importance of supporting the national operator. « Comores Telecom remains a pillar of the country », he said, specifying that unlike foreign companies, the operator ensures the continuity of services for Comorians.

In his speech, the Minister emphasizes the importance of exploring new areas of activity, particularly with Huri Money, which he considers a strategic asset. Ali Hadji, for his part, praised the company’s financial results, which recorded a turnover of 17.035 billion Comorian francs (37.03 million USD at constant exchange rates) in 2024, representing a growth of 0.91% compared to the previous year, and demonstrating the company’s stability in a competitive market.

The CEO also presented the progress made, including the implementation of a structuring five-year plan aimed at improving internal management and strengthening team commitment. The infrastructure has expanded, with the deployment of optical fiber across the country, thus improving the quality of services. For this year, the company is targeting growth above 10% and is focusing on expanding the mobile network, consolidating energy infrastructure and the imminent deployment of 5G.
