Enhancing community amenities

The construction of the National Arts Center was officially inaugurated on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Réunion Maurel in Petit Raffray.

The project will be carried out in two phases. The initial phase will include a hall equipped with an acoustic system and versatile facilities, while the second phase will feature an outdoor amphitheater. In his speech, Minister Teeluck expressed his pride in the launch of this highly anticipated project. He emphasized that the National Arts Center will serve as a central hub for various activities, benefiting all residents.

The Minister highlighted that the center will bring together individuals from different regions, offering valuable services in the arts, culture, and education sectors. He also assured that the center will feature advanced facilities, particularly a state-of-the-art stage and acoustic system, to enhance its performance capabilities.

Minister Teeluck further emphasized that this project reflects the government’s commitment to infrastructure development, aiming to improve community amenities. He announced that the National Arts Center is expected to be completed within eight months and urged residents to promote harmony and respect, underscoring the diversity of Mauritius’s population.
