Assessment and Outlook for the Collaboration

On April 9, 2025, a workshop was held at the Itsandra Hotel in Moroni to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the collaboration between the French Red Cross and the Comorian Red Crescent.

The event brought together key members of both organizations, including Ali Hassani Soilihi, President of the Comorian Red Crescent, and Lailati Aboubacari, Head of Delegation of the French Red Cross.

Ali Hassani Soilihi reiterated that although many needs have been expressed, it is essential to prioritize them. The organization’s leader emphasized the need for clear objectives and an evaluation framework to better respond to future emergencies.

The President of the Comorian Red Crescent praised the efforts made to date, highlighting the many successes achieved through the collaboration between the two organizations. Gratitude was expressed to the French Red Cross and its teams.

For her part, Lailati Aboubacari highlighted the numerous achievements of the past 25 years. The Head of Delegation reaffirmed the French Red Cross’s commitment to supporting the Comoros, particularly during times of health crises, and to continuing to support local projects.

This workshop strengthened the partnership between the two organizations, ensuring better preparedness to meet the needs of the population.
