Encouraging local production
The Rally of Industries, launched by the Syndicat des Industries de Madagascar (SIM), aims to showcase the wealth and potential of Malagasy industry.
Through this competition, the SIM promotes key sectors such as textiles, agri-food, essential oils, and materials made from local resources. The goal is to promote local know-how and draw attention to technologies and products developed in Madagascar.
Beyond a simple competition, this competition has a patriotic character. By involving students, the union seeks to raise their awareness of their country’s wealth and encourage them to invest in the development of local production.
The teams, composed of students from several universities, will be sponsored by SIM member companies. The latter will act as mentors, offering practical advice and allowing the students to gain insight into the professional world. Each team, dressed in the colors of its sponsoring company, will symbolize the alliance between youth and industry.
This event offers a genuine opportunity for young talent to acquire skills, receive training, and actively contribute to the growth of Malagasy industry. According to officials, this competition also aims to prepare the next generation to meet the country’s economic challenges.
