Exploring Potential Cooperation
David Ralambofiringa, Madagascar’s Minister of Industrialization and Trade (Mic), recently welcomed a delegation from the Malagasy Employers’ Association (Fivmpama) to his office in Ambohidahy.
The meeting aimed to discuss potential collaboration, particularly in advancing industrial and commercial development. Both parties expressed a clear willingness to work together. Following the Minister’s instructions to facilitate cooperation, efforts will be made to involve other ministries to achieve the shared goals.
Industrialization and economic transformation are central pillars of the State’s General Policy (PGE). The Mic is actively seeking partnerships to support this mission, both locally and internationally. Discussions between the Mic and Fivmpama have underscored the need to focus on the growth and development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small and medium-sized industries (SMIs).
Since industrialization is a gradual process, particular attention must be given to SMEs, which play a significant role in achieving these objectives. While the overall vision is ambitious, step-by-step progress is essential to unlocking Madagascar’s economic potential.
