Public-Private Dialogue: Strengthening the Bipartite Framework

Improving cooperation between public and private sectors

Thanks to this forum, it was possible to review the initiatives implemented since 2020 and determine the actions to be taken to strengthen collaboration between the state and the private sector.

The goal is to identify challenges to overcome to ensure inclusive socio-economic development, focusing on achieving the objectives of the Plan Comores Émergent (PCE). The aim is to find shared solutions to socio-economic issues.

The Palais du Peuple hosted the second 2024 Public-Private Dialogue Forum, organized by the Head of State, Azali Assoumani. This second forum was organized by the private sector in close collaboration with the government and technical and financial partners.

The main objective of the second forum is to improve cooperation and trust between the public and private sectors to foster a business environment conducive to economic growth. This involves collaborating on specific reform initiatives and strengthening the governance of the Dpp platform using sustainable and inclusive mechanisms. These mechanisms aim to enhance the coordination and implementation of joint reforms and projects.

Private sector actors are calling for strengthened regulations and continuous support for economic operators to access public markets and control trade flows. Plenary presentations were followed by thematic discussions in working groups, then plenary session presentations. After completing the work, specific recommendations were made to address identified issues.
