Promoting Entrepreneurship : Highlighting Local Products

Encouraging Local Production

Between December 23 and January 15, around fifty companies will have the opportunity to showcase more than 150 product ranges. These categories range from beauty to food, including sewing and crafts.

During a press conference, the Comorian Association of Local Producers and Processors (Acptl) unveiled the event named « Market of the Islands: Month of Flavors and Local Knowledge ». This event aims to highlight and promote the abundance of Comorian products, showcasing the unique expertise of artisans, farmers, and processors from every corner of the archipelago.

According to the organizers, this event is designed to be a meeting point for genuine commercial and cultural exchanges between the islands. Visitors will be able to explore the region’s specialties, savor products bearing the « Made in Comoros » label, and enrich their knowledge of the customs that constitute the essence of Comorian identity.

The Acptl, which participates in local economic development, brings together more than thirty small and medium-sized enterprises from the three islands. Its objective is to encourage local production through actions aimed at farmers and artisans while supporting a social and solidarity economy.

The ambition of the « Market of the Islands » is to stimulate innovation, and wealth generation, and promote « Made in Comoros ». This event also aims to promote local consumption as a national priority.
