Platform for Collaboration
During the 10th edition of the International Regions Day (IRD), David Ralambofiringa, Minister of Industrialization and Trade, used his visit to the Diana region as an opportunity to tour local factories.
At this event, he reiterated the government’s commitment to boosting industrial investments, optimizing the business environment, strengthening public-private partnerships, and promoting « Vita Malagasy » products. Several industries have established themselves in the northern region, including the Indian Ocean Manufacturing Company (SFOI), the shipbuilder Secren, and Star, as well as small local enterprises.
For many years, the IRD and initiatives led by the Ministry of Industrialization and Trade (MIC) have aligned with the One District One Factory (ODOF) project. This initiative aims to regionalize product manufacturing, encouraging Malagasy citizens to meet their daily needs through locally produced goods.
This event hosted 80 companies, both large and small, from local and international spheres, along with diplomats and technical and financial partners. Strategic discussions took place during B2B meetings, offering businesses a favorable platform for collaboration and mutual growth.
