Global Entrepreneurship Week in Madagascar

Spotlight on job promotion

Madagascar is hosting an official ceremony to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). The event, running until November 24, provides a prime opportunity to highlight job promotions across the country.

This annual initiative, jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MJS), is part of a global movement involving over 200 countries. It aims to promote entrepreneurship and innovation while emphasizing local efforts and fostering collaboration among stakeholders within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Several organizations are supporting this job-creation-focused event, including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Fihariana program, JCI Madagascar, the UNDP, the European Union, and the Integrated Growth Pole (PIC). Numerous activities are planned to mark the occasion, such as conferences, workshops, and training sessions designed to bolster entrepreneurship and encourage networking.

From November 19 to 21, JCI Madagascar and the Department for Entrepreneurship Promotion are hosting awareness conferences at universities and high schools to inspire young people to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.
