Showcasing innovative ideas
Entrepreneurship in Madagascar is making its mark. During the 2024 edition of Africa Business Heroes, one of Africa’s largest entrepreneurial competitions launched in 2019, Madagascar ranked in the top 20 out of fifty-four countries.
Entrepreneurial skills are gaining recognition in Madagascar. Sayna, a company specializing in teaching new technologies and coding to young people, has distinguished itself by securing a place in the top 20 of Africa Business Heroes 2024. The competition brought together more than twenty thousand candidates from fifty-four African countries. This is an exceptional achievement and a first for Madagascar in this competition, which was created in 2019 by the Jack Ma Foundation.
These semi-finalists represent eleven different countries. « They demonstrate ABH’s commitment to identifying Africa’s most promising entrepreneurs », stated ABH’s X page. A selection pitch will be held among these twenty candidates to choose ten finalists for the next stage. This competition provides a unique opportunity for African entrepreneurs to showcase innovative ideas and simultaneously grow their businesses.
The competition among participating entrepreneurs offers funding of 1.5 million USD.
