Tailored training programs
Women’s entrepreneurship is a powerful means of empowering women while fostering economic development within a society. It is with this perspective that Absa Mauritius initiated the Absa Women Forward program.
This support program will last for eight months and offer 20 women entrepreneurs tailored training and individual support. The goal is to assist them in acquiring the skills needed to reach a new stage in their entrepreneurial journey.
Several objectives are set for this program. The first step is to provide entrepreneurs with the tools needed to face the challenges related to starting and developing a business. The training and personalized coaching aims to enable them to acquire practical skills in various areas, from financial planning to marketing strategy, and human resources management. After completing the program, participants will be able to study the market, identify trends, and create products and services that meet customers’ expectations.
The focus will be on using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, an essential skill for the evolution of contemporary businesses. The importance of leadership and innovation will also be addressed by the participants while developing collaboration skills.
The teachings and coaching sessions will be delivered in French, English, and Creole. Therefore, solid written and oral proficiency in French and English is required. As for admission requirements, applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess an education level equivalent to or higher than Grade 9.
