Coordination meeting for the SADC Industry Day
Madagascar will host the 45th summit of SADC Heads of State and Government in August 2025. On this occasion, a unique edition of the Industry Promotion Day will bring together public and private actors to stimulate the regional economy.
This event, set to be held in August 2025, will mark the 25th anniversary of Madagascar’s membership in SADC. Additionally, the 8th Industry Promotion Day aligns with this context. The Ministry of Industrialization and Commerce (MIC) spearheads this project to modernize the country’s industrial sector.
On February 7, MIC chaired the first coordination meeting, bringing together the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Economic Development Board of Madagascar (EDBM), and the Syndicate of Madagascar Industries (SIM). This meeting aimed to outline the major directions of the event while strengthening synergy between public and private actors.
This edition stands out by emphasizing the Business & Industry Forum model. This forum brings together industrialists, suppliers, investors, financial institutions, and innovation experts. Thus, it serves as an opportunity to facilitate strategic meetings, stimulate business opportunities, and encourage regional investments.
The event highlights Malagasy culture through a mixed format, allowing participants to discover the island’s authenticity while benefiting from a conducive networking environment. Additionally, local heritage is showcased, revealing the country’s rich cultural wealth.
