ODOF Project : Support for new industrial inspectors

Regulating the industrial sector

Barely a week after starting their service, industry inspectors are already active. They have begun their work to impart their expertise to industrialists.

They started this assistance in collaboration with the pasta factory at By-Pass, Alo Food Factory. This factory was established under the « One Neighborhood, One Factory » project. The factory managers are currently conducting ongoing tests, which is why these technicians and officials are present in this sector.

According to the Ministry of Industrialization, this initiative aims to regulate the industrial sector by the responsibilities of industry inspectors. Additionally, it seeks to support the development of this economic sector. The visit garnered interest from the factory managers. The head of this unit, ODOF, Finoana Rakotomanana, stated that with the help of these industry inspectors, they would be able to improve their factory management skills.

The number of officials in this particular sector increased to fifty-one with the recent swearing-in of thirty-one new industry inspectors. Their role is crucial, especially in the industrial development process, as they act as regulators in this field.
