Overcoming financial barriers to healthcare access
Airtel Madagascar recently signed a partnership agreement with the health mutual « Antoka ho an’ny FAhasalaman’ny FIanakaviana (Afafi) » through its mobile payment service, Airtel Money.
The goal is simplifying health insurance reimbursements using mobile money for Afafi members. Afafi’s national director, Felaniaina Razafinjatovo, confirmed during the signing ceremony the shared commitment of both entities to improve access to healthcare.
This collaboration aligns with the third Sustainable Development Goal, which aims to ensure health and well-being for all ages. According to the general manager of Airtel Money, this initiative demonstrates both parties’ commitment to the company’s values of solidarity and contributes to inclusion in the healthcare sector.
According to Afafi, this collaboration with Airtel Money, which offers national coverage, represents a significant step towards reducing healthcare exclusions for vulnerable families. It helps overcome financial difficulties related to healthcare access and provides additional medical and social support.
