St-François Xavier RCA School Celebrates 170 Years

An Institution That Evolves Over Time

St-François Xavier RCA School, located in Camp-Yoloff, celebrated its 170th anniversary. This event brought together 222 students, teachers, parents and many guests, all gathered to celebrate an iconic institution of regional education.

The day began with a thanksgiving mass, presided over by Bishop Jean-Michäel Durhône and Father Ryszard Szczygielski. « It’s a moment of gratitude, but also of hope for the future », said Bishop Durhône, emphasizing the school’s lasting impact on generations of children.

In addition to celebrating its past, the school took the opportunity to launch three innovative projects. The first, an interactive souvenir magazine, allows readers to delve into the history of the establishment through images, games and videos. The integration of QR codes makes the experience immersive, transforming learning into a fun journey through time.

The second project, an online learning platform, the Learning Management System, modernizes education by facilitating access to online courses and offering hybrid learning, combining face-to-face and distance learning.

According to Deny L’Olive François, school teacher, « this will allow children to learn in a more modern way that is adapted to their times.” Finally, a dedicated website was launched, allowing the school community to follow activities and events. Articles, photos and videos strengthen the bond between students, teachers and parents.
