Modernization of construction training in Madagascar

FORMAPRO is committed to the future of young people

On 11 February 2025, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESUPRES), Prof. Julien Salava, received a delegation from FORMAPRO Madagascar in Fiadanana.

This meeting marks the official launch of the second phase of the project, an initiative in line with the General State Policy and the MESUPRES policy. According to the SG « this project is part of an ambitious approach to modernize training offers in the construction and public works (BTP) sector in Madagascar ».

Through 45 targeted activities, the initiative adopts the competency-based approach, while taking into account the challenges of climate change. The first phase, which has already been deployed in five secondary schools and two colleges in the capital, has laid the foundations for training adapted to market needs.

The second phase aims to strengthen the employability of young people, especially girls, through specific training programs. These courses meet the growing demands of the construction industry. The aim is to equip young people with strong skills adapted to the challenges of modern infrastructure.
