Conferences and Career Opportunities for Students

More than 1,000 students took part in the first Career Opportunities Fair organized by the Maarif International School of Antananarivo from April 2 to 4, 2025.

The event, which brought together several schools from Tana-Ville and Ambohidratrimo, aimed to help young people better understand themselves in order to make informed choices about their future career paths.

Schools present included the modern high schools of Ampefiloha, Ambotrimanjaka, Analamahitsy, Andohalo, Jules Ferry and Ivato, Rabearivelo, and Nanisana. Prior to the fair, discovery internships were offered to students in partnership with ten local companies. These internships allowed the young people to immerse themselves in the professional world, giving them a glimpse of the opportunities that await them.

Ramanantsoa Ramarcel Fanomezana, Director General of the School, explained that the main objective is to provide students with the necessary information to choose their future career path after the baccalaureate.

Over the three days, six conferences were organized for students, teachers, and parents. Among the speakers, Tsiry Tsilavo Rajaonary of the Association of Malagasy Alumni of Türkiye (AAEMAT) shared his experience studying in Türkiye. A doctor, a lawyer, and a pilot spoke about their career paths and realities.

The event concluded with a hike, featuring the participation of the Red Cross, which ensured security and trained teachers and administrative staff in first aid. According to Bebiharimandimby Sylvia, a teacher at the school, this first edition was a success, and a second edition is already being considered.
