The African Leadership College (ALC) held a graduation ceremony on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Trianon Convention Center. The event was attended by the Honorable Dr. Avinash Ramtohul, Minister of ICT, along with 84 students who received their degrees.
The purpose of this ceremony was to honor the achievements of students in Social Sciences, Business Management, Engineering, and Computer Science. They received degrees accredited by Glasgow Caledonian University.
This is the last cohort of students to complete their studies at ALC under its current name. The institution will soon be known as the African Leadership College of Higher Education (ALCHE). In addition to Dr. Ramtohul, notable university figures attended the ceremony, including Veda Sunassee, CEO of ALC and the African Leadership University (ALU), Jeremy Ruiters, the newly appointed Dean, and Stephen Naicken, Academic Director.
The Honorable Dr. Avinash Ramtohul congratulated the graduates for the dedication and commitment they demonstrated throughout their academic journey. He emphasized that today’s degrees are not just documents to secure jobs; they symbolize a responsibility, a call for broader reflection, and the creation of opportunities.
