Information and awareness seminar

The Union of Chambers of Commerce, Agriculture, and Crafts has agreed to transform regional prefectures into true economic centers.

An information and awareness seminar for the 11 prefects of Ngazidja Island took place on Tuesday, November 5, at the Mrodju Palace. This event focused on the collaborative agreement between the government, the Union of Chambers of Commerce (UCCIA), and the Ngazidja Chamber of Commerce (CCIA). The goal of this partnership is to establish prefectures as economic centers for each region.

The prefects, along with the President of UCCIA, Chamsoudine Ahmed, and the representative of the island’s consular chamber, Ali Idjihadi, welcomed the invitation. In his opening remarks, he noted that this second meeting builds on the agreement reached on September 9. This agreement has helped create a collaborative environment and set the goals for this cooperation.

This initiative enables all involved entities to analyze methods and procedures for regional projects. «Today, this seminar for the 11 prefects of Ngazidja allows us to share perspectives on the practical tools and mechanisms for this cooperation », he stated, expressing gratitude to the prefects for their participation. According to him, the CCIA and the government were able to reach Ngazidja’s 28 mayors through the prefectures.
