The courtesy visit followed a working session where both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening existing bilateral relations and promoting cooperation in key sectors. In her remarks, Ms. Robinson highlighted that Prosper Africa’s mission is to attract and boost private sector investment across the continent. She emphasized that Mauritius is particularly well-positioned to play a leading role in this initiative, contributing to the global economy while fostering Africa’s economic growth.

She underscored Mauritius’s crucial role in this context, noting that the country’s strategic assets could enhance its economic influence. Ms. Robinson expressed confidence that this cooperation could create new opportunities for investment and growth across Africa.

Ambassador Jardine pointed out that Prosper Africa could have a significant impact on Mauritius, emphasizing the country’s strategic location as a gateway to several other nations. He praised Mauritius’s democratic stability, highlighting that the country has the necessary conditions and connectivity to support major partnerships.

Mr. Jardine also noted that these attributes make Mauritius a valuable partner for the United States, which aims to expand its engagement in Africa and pursue cooperative projects across the continent.
