Showcasing economic strengths
The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Madagascar (FCCIM) and the Geneva-Antananarivo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIGA) are jointly organizing the private sector Economic Forum titled « Madagascar, Land of Opportunity ». This forum will take place at the Mercure Hotel in Geneva, Switzerland, from May 2 to 3, 2025.
As the name suggests, this forum provides Madagascar with an opportunity to highlight its strengths and attract various partners and investors. Bernardin Ramiandrisoa, Director General of FCCIM, stated that the forum aims to boost private sector development in Madagascar and foster profitable partnerships and mutually beneficial cooperation between national and international economic players.
« The event will prioritize sectors such as agribusiness, tourism, small industries, mining, and crafts », explained Elina Volasay, FCCIM’s Operations Manager. Ramiandrisoa emphasized that organizing this forum aligns perfectly with FCCIM’s mission.
Ivan Rakotomalala, Vice President of CCIGA, assured that their team in Switzerland would work closely with FCCIM to make the event a success and a point of pride for Madagascar’s private sector. During the press conference, the organizers clarified that although the forum will take place in Switzerland, it will have an international scope.
« We have already reached out to the Ministry of Industrialization and Trade, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and they have expressed their willingness to support the event », noted FCCIM’s Director General. He stressed that the forum would increase Madagascar’s visibility while promoting its economic growth.
