Supporting the private sector
Roland Kobia, the European Union (EU) Ambassador, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Industrialization and Commerce, David Ralambofiringa.
This visit provided an opportunity for the two figures to review partnership agreements and investment promotion in Madagascar. Both parties are convinced that the private sector is a driving force for economic development on the island.
« We are doing everything we can to support the evolution of the private sector », said Minister David Ralambofiringa. He highlighted that close collaboration between his department and the EU will lead to tangible results, especially since they share a common vision. “It is crucial to develop an action plan to monitor the sustainability and effectiveness of the tasks to be carried out,” he insisted.
For his part, Roland Kobia expressed his willingness to continue the collaboration and the steps already initiated. « To promote foreign direct investments (FDI), it is essential to intensify exchanges and understanding between the private sector and the public sector, allowing each to share their views on economic growth », he stated.
