Morocco and the Emirates, Guests of Honor
The 11th edition of the International Tourism Fair Madagascar (ITM) and the 2nd edition of the International Handicraft Fair Madagascar (IHM) were officially launched on April 7, 2025, in Antaninarenina.
A press conference was held for the occasion, attended by Viviane Dewa, Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, and Ionjaniaina Ranaivoarimanana, Chair of the ONTM Board of Directors.
The ITM 2025 will be held from June 12 to 15 at the Ivato Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI). Organized by the Madagascar National Tourism Office (ONTM) with government support through the PIC project, the fair’s theme will be “Towards More Sustainable Tourism”. Morocco and the United Arab Emirates will be the guest countries of honor.
During the conference, the organizer signed partnership agreements with the first sponsors. More than 475 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors are expected. In addition to the tourism fair, the event will also host a craft fair, showcasing local expertise through 11 artisan villages.
The event will include 15 themed villages, with booths related to hospitality, gastronomy, crafts, wellness, and new technologies. More than 30 conferences will be organized, with 107 speakers, including 10 international experts.
Cultural activities, shows, children’s games, professional meetings, and a large raffle will also be part of the program. Registration will be online to limit the environmental impact. A major communication campaign is planned, with TV spots, radio spots, press releases, and newspaper distribution.
