Reunion Island students on an academic expedition to North America

A Step Internationally

On March 22, 2025, 90 students from the IUT of Réunion Island embarked on a study trip to the North American continent. This was made possible as part of the academic program for the University Bachelor of Technology (BUT) in Business and Administration Management (GEA) and Marketing Techniques.

This trip aims to offer students an enriching experience both academically and culturally, while broadening their international career prospects. The program includes trips to Montreal and New York, where students will have the opportunity to visit prestigious institutions such as HEC Montréal, the University of Quebec in Montreal, McGill University, and Columbia University.

This visit will also allow them to meet expatriate Reunion Islanders, such as Grégory LARROQUE, Vice President at CGI, who will share his career path. These meetings, planned with professionals in various fields such as management, law, marketing, and IT, will offer young people a concrete insight into expatriate opportunities.

The main objective of this trip is to develop students’ open-mindedness. Students will thus be able to compare the French and North American education systems and consider opportunities for internships, further study, or professional integration abroad.
