John Musunga appointed CEO of Diageo West and Central Africa

Diageo has announced the appointment of John Musunga as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its West and Central Africa operations. Formerly Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria, Musunga is leading the reorganization of the group’s subsidiaries in this strategic region. The new leader will now oversee Diageo South, West and Central Africa (SWC), covering key markets including Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Angola, DRC, Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon.

John Musunga brings a wealth of experience from GSK (GlaxoSmithKline), where he held several senior positions including Managing Director for East and Southern Africa. He will bring his expertise in business management and strategy to the role, and will be responsible for strengthening the Group’s presence in the region while overseeing the transition of licensed activities in Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon.
