Enhancing Business Competencies
The Syndicat des Industries de Madagascar (SIM) organized an intensive three-day training session aimed at promoting a culture of excellence and recognizing the importance of human capital.
The training was provided to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) affiliated with SIM, members of the Centre de gestion agréé (CGA-SIM), as well as participants from the Ministry of Industrialization and Commerce’s (MIC) Odof project. This action, supported by the Fihariana program, aligns with the collaboration agreement signed in November 2024. The goal is to enhance the competencies of SMEs to optimize their performance. Thus, SMEs have the necessary resources to meet management challenges and ensure the sustainability of their operations.
Over three days, participants explored a variety of topics. Financial education focuses on debt management, different financing options, and financial products. Entrepreneurial culture was also covered, promoting the development of an entrepreneurial spirit and risk management. Marketing, essential for customer loyalty and market analysis, was part of the modules taught.
Participants were also trained in financial analysis, learning to interpret ratios and read financial tables. Additionally, the development of a business plan and team management enriched this training, focusing on leadership styles and decision-making. In total, 78 participants took part in this session.
Among the participants were 25 beneficiaries of the Odof project, eight small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) members of CGA-SIM, as well as six SMEs affiliated with SIM. Additionally, representatives from large companies also participated to support SIM’s vision
