Indian High Commissioner to Mauritius Presents Credentials

Strengthening and advancing these unique and enduring ties

On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the State House, the High Commissioner of the Republic of India to Mauritius, Mr. Anurag Srivastava, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Mr. Dharambeer Gokhool.

At the end of the meeting, the High Commissioner expressed his satisfaction at being the Indian High Commissioner to Mauritius. He also emphasized that his meeting with the President had been extremely fruitful, addressing various aspects of cooperation and exploring opportunities for expansion and strengthening.

Furthermore, Mr. Srivastava highlighted that the two countries have a dynamic and unique relationship, based on strong interpersonal ties. He mentioned that these ties have withstood the test of time, reinforced by common history, culture, heritage, and kinship.

The Indian High Commissioner also mentioned the areas of cooperation prioritized by both governments, focusing on traditional sectors like health and education, as well as various sectors like digital technologies and disaster management. He referred to the assistance provided after Cyclone Chido and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the Mauritian government. The involved parties are ready to do everything possible to consolidate and advance these unique and enduring ties.
