Barea Stadium : Two Trade Fairs Held Simultaneously

Promoting the emergence of new opportunities

The National Tourism Office of Madagascar (ONTM) and the National Center for Malagasy Handicrafts (Cenam) are collaborating to host the 8th edition of the « Tsenaben’ny Fizahantany » (TBF) and the inaugural « Tsenaben’ny Asa-tànana » (TBA).

The event will take place on November 21, 22, and 23 at Barea Stadium in Mahamasina. Recognizing the close connection between handicrafts and the tourism sector, the organizers deemed the simultaneous hosting of these two fairs essential. In addition to promoting attractive tourism offers and showcasing the expertise of local artisans, the TBF and TBA serve as a platform for stakeholders in these fields to engage in dialogue. This creates new opportunities and concepts to invigorate their respective industries.

With the year-end celebrations approaching, the TBF is a must-visit event for local tourists and residents seeking inspiration for their upcoming holidays. Meanwhile, the TBA aims to highlight « Vita Malagasy » (Made in Madagascar) products to a broad audience.

Tourism professionals occupy more than 37 booths, while artisans showcase their work in 103 booths, all spread across a 2,500-square-meter area dedicated to the event at Barea Stadium. A specific 36-square-meter space is also allocated to the « Grand Sud » project, designed to promote the Grand Sud region as a prime destination.
