Promoting Madagascar as a prime destination
The Tourism Confederation of Madagascar (CTM), invited by Cap Business Indian Ocean, is currently participating in the 14th Indian Ocean Islands Economic Forum.
The event has been held at the Technopole in Dembéni, Mayotte, since November 5. During the regional integration workshop titled « Tourists as Consumers of Our Islands’ Products », CTM Executive Director Lova Rakotomalala highlighted Madagascar’s vast tourism potential. This workshop offered an opportunity to strengthen collaboration with other Indian Ocean islands, identify potential partners to boost tourism-related economic exchange and enhance the institutional presence of Madagascar’s private tourism sector on a regional level.
Given that tourism is a cornerstone of Madagascar’s development, engaging in such forums is essential to elevate Madagascar as a top destination. Additionally, the Ministry of Tourism aims to meet the ambitious target of welcoming one million visitors by 2028.
