Since October 18, 2024, Adebowale Oyedeji has been appointed CEO of FBN Holdings, one of Nigeria’s and Africa’s largest financial groups, with branches spanning sectors from finance to insurance brokerage. Following approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria and shareholders, the Harvard Business School alumnus will officially assume the role on November 13, 2024.
In addition to his Harvard education, Oyedeji holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Ibadan and a master’s degree in financial economics from the University of London. With over 30 years of experience in banking, Oyedeji’s career includes leading Guaranty Trust Bank UK from 2008 to 2011, after which he spearheaded Nova Bank’s transition from an investment bank to a commercial bank.
