Training program : Supporting unemployed youth

Helping youth find employment

Free mass training sessions are offering new opportunities for unemployed youth, organized by the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training.

Yesterday, Tranompokonolona Isotry was filled with young people eager to find employment. The Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training invited them to sign up for free training sessions as part of the first edition of the « Fijery hafa » event, co-organized by the Ministry and the Urban Commune of Antananarivo.

This large-scale training initiative aims to support youth struggling to find work or formal education by helping them gain skills to secure employment or start their businesses. Minister Marie Marcelline Rasoloarisoa emphasized the vital role these young individuals will play in the country’s development. During the event, she listened to their goals and identified how targeted training could improve their quality of life.

Some of the most popular courses requested included pastry making, beauty and nail care, tailoring, livestock farming, agriculture, renewable energy, auto mechanics, soap making, and cooking. Participants will soon be grouped for their training, and the program, which began in Antananarivo’s first district, will expand to other parts of the country.
